Ask Carol With Their Outstanding Track "Darkest Hour"

Writer's picture: deathordesiredeathordesire

Based out of the Norwegian mountain community Auma, comes the grungy alt-pop duo Ask Carol. Ask Carol is a high energy power-duo with a big sound. Multitasking is their middle name. Two guitars, drums, a synth, a drum machine and a unique splitting system for Carol's guitar, makes this two-piece sound like a full band. Their sound can be fierce and mean, then suddenly turn soft and comforting. Their sound could make you think of artists like the Kills, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with a Nordic, melancholic twist. Ask Carol has toured in the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, SXSW two times and more ,and supported The Brian Jonestown Massacre. The band now put out their music on ChoVan Records, their own Indie Label. Given the special circumstances, tours and concerts are postponed. They have a concert scheduled for October 10th in Oslo. This year they will be focusing on new singles and the upcoming album slated for early 2020. Following their newest release "Darkest Hour" they project a very soothing rock feel that certainly capture your ears. Starting the track with an upbeat sound leading onto her loud and bold vocals she completes this track entirely. To explain the track further it's about battling through anxiety and depression and trying to overcome your "Darkest Hours". This track would be relatable for anyone with inner struggles to break free and release that confidence you have under you. The track would be perfect for a late night or just hanging out with your friends. Go stream "Darkest Hours" and check out their discography which is filled with outstanding tracks.
